Halloween, Mspark Style

Halloween at Mspark goes beyond just dressing up. It’s a day when our team members go all in with a long list of festivities: A costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, chili cook-off, dessert contest, corn hole and more. Mspark’s 2017 Haunted Halloween was no different.

All the Festivities

The planning starts well ahead of October’s arrival for some. Our costume contest features both individual and group sections, and each year, the efforts seem to top the previous year. Groups and individuals get their moment in the spotlight to convince the judges they have the top costume for their category, complete with a performance. It’s always fun to see the creativity come out in the costume choice, design and performance.

The creativity doesn’t stop with our costume contest. Our chili cook-off and dessert contest seems to get bigger and more creative each year, with more team members competing to become the reigning champions. This year we added a potluck section to go with the chili and desserts. The judges had their work cut out for them this year, and our team enjoyed choosing which entries to sample at our Halloween lunch.

You can’t have Halloween without pumpkin carving. Check out these fun designs and our winner, a pumpkin showing just 2% cell phone battery (scary, right?):

Last but not least, Mspark employees are encouraged to bring their children for trick or treating. With stations set up around the building, our teams compete to have the best decorations. From scary to sweet, the decorations make trick or treating fun.

What’s most fun about our Halloween tradition is seeing our company culture really come out. The teamwork to pull it all off along with the entries for the various events sure do make Mspark a great place to work!

Congratulations to all of our winners
